Save Our Fields: Deadline 9th April

Deadline 9th April

We only have until 9th April to send in comments or objections to Broxtowe Council. Thats just two weeks! You can view the application plans and other documents on line and submit comments by clicking here.

Just so you know what we will be losing, I have included a picture of the view across the fields from Low Wood Road. Let's work together to make sure this is not lost forever for our children and their children.

hopefully if enough of us get our voices heard, we'll be able to stop the disappearance of one of the only open spaces in the area. The archeological history in the fields must be preserved as must the use of the footpath which I enjoy greatly. Say NO to building on our lovely green space...

How did the council sneak that one in?
I've not really used the walks that much so far but I've always thought how perfect to have this area so close by when I semi retire. I guess I will have to jump in the car to find somewhere if it disappears.
Just poplin' out to B & Q to get some chain and a padlock for when the bulldozers arrive !

For more than 500 years, Hempshill Hall and the attached farm have stood on this site, the last piece of green land on this edge of Nottingham.
In March 2012, a planning application was submitted to Broxtowe Borough Council to build 139 houses on the fields surrounding Hempshill Hall.
This will destroy the last vestige of green between Nottingham city centre and the continuous housing development way past Eastwood.
There will be nowhere left for locals to walk their dogs, for children to go sledging when it snows, no views, no open space, just some characterless modern housing surrounded by a 2 metre high wooden fence.
As residents of the area or as caring neighbours, we want to
preserve this last open green field space.
